In 2009, I fell head over heals for a track cycling. Like so many falling in love, I wanted to share my new romance with all who might listen. What else would I do but start a blog?

The title that instantly came to mind mind was VaVaVelo. To me, this phrase combining Velo, the French word for bicycle, with the expression “va va voom,” which conveys liveliness and excitement, pretty much captures the thrill of riding.

I ride other types of bicycles, but nothing fulfills my desires like riding a fixed gear with no breaks around a velodrome. It is here I share my two-wheeled journey.
